Alix was born with an artistic gift, uniquely her own.  She has been an artist for most of her life and has professional experience using a large variety of traditional art media over the years including watercolor, oils, pastels, woodcarving, soft pencil, and many others. Occasionally she works in a mixed media combining digital manipulation with different combinations of ink, colored pencil, acrylic, pastel and even photography. These combinations allow for the widest range of colors and textures that most accurately portray her creative visions and bring them to life on paper.

 These varied media have been employed in just as diverse a  variety of projects ranging from scenery and still life to animal portraits and tole painting, antique restoration, murals, Native American art and figures and many other custom ordered works. The artwork of this award winning artist has been shown throughout the US and her reputation has brought her a wide variety of special requests from schools, churches, corporations, and non-profit agencies as well as custom work for private collections.

.  As most gifted artists will attest, the most beautiful works of art are spiritually inspired, and an expression from the heart.  This is also true for Alix.  Much of her work includes angels, birds, and butterflies which  embody a wish for the ability to fly - symbolizing freedom  without restraint.  Alix shares her love of animals and  connection to God, born out of strokes and splashes, but encourages admirers to allow their own interpretations to come forth from within.
