Mean Mr. Mustache
Here is a real conversation piece that is a perfect example of the unpredictability of the sorts of images Alix finds in the splashes of paint that comprise her "Unexpected Reflections" pieces. It was the origin of two other pieces in the collection that began as tiny details but were powerful enough to stand on their own - "Violet Moon" and her male counterpart "Sunnyside Moon".
Below them two rabbits lovingly share their carrots, but even though he strokes his bushy mustache in an effort to remain calm, Mean Mr. Mustache is so angry about having part of their lunch on his head that steam is emanating from his ears!
