Dreaming In The Poppy Field
This very special piece, combining pencil with watercolor, unlike the style of any of Alix's other works, has a miraculous story behind it. It was created as a gift for a woman she met who was hospitalized at the time. Through this painting the recipient, named Carol ,was able to regain the faith she had lost early in her life. After many years of illness, when she could no longer be helped medically, it enabled her to die peacefully in her renewed faith that God really did care about her.
Women who have been abused seem to be drawn and ministered to by this painting. The original is still in the possession of Carol's husband.
