Downie Meadows

A feeling of nostalgia is evoked in viewing this tranquil scene, with its pasture and berry patch, smokehouse and old pegged barn.  

With pen and ink  and watercolor Alix depicts the charming little Pennsylvania farm that was her home for  twenty-six years. Here she raised her two sons, along with several chickens and pigs, an occasional calf, a nanny goat and the horses she had always dreamed of having.
