Winter has a special beauty all its own. A freshly fallen blanket of snow, lying undisturbed on every fence post and twig, creates in us a feeling of calm and peacefulness. Perhaps that is the reason that Alix's snow scenes have always been popular images. As smoke wafts from the chimney, we can remember sledding, snowballs and making snow angels. Our wonderful childhood memories might also include coming inside to a waiting mug of hot cocoa and enjoying the feel of the fire as much as we did the snow.
